How to Pray the Rosary

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." -Isaiah 41:10

About The Most Holy Rosary of The Blessed Virgin Mary

Prayer is a divine gift to man. It is the Holy Spirit who prays within us. It is He who intercedes for us with unutterable sighs: Abba! Father!; Prayer is thus our participation in these unutterable sighs of God's love.Prayer of the Rosary is the contemplation of the life of Jesus. It is, in essence, the Gospel which the Holy Spirit reveals to the one who prays. Our prayer of the Rosary enables us to encounter and meet with the living, risen Christ. That is why each time, prayer blesses us with peace and joy; with new strength and hope. Prayer is not repeated for it is the Holy Spirit who inspires it. It is like a spring which does not repeat its water but always flows with water which is fresh and new, clear and quenching. Our Lady is the one who has given the Rosary to us, Her children. The Rosary is not an invention of man but a gift to man. It is the hand of an unsure child in the hand of its Mother. A Rosary in the hand and prayer in the heart is a miraculous sign. Yes, it is possible to meet with God. It is possible to speak with God and with Mary. It is possible to stand before the face of God. To learn to pray the Rosary is to learn to love and to live. To pray it whilst meditating on the life of our Lord Jesus and the Blessed Virgin, means to truly love Jesus and Mary.

The Holy Rosary is composed of twenty decades, each decade being recited in honour of some mystery in the life of Our Lord and of His Blessed Mother. During each decade, we should call to mind the mystery which it is intended to honour, and pray that we may learn to practice the virtue specially taught us by that mystery.

Like the life of our Lord Jesus, the Rosary is divided into the Joyful, the Light, the Sorrowful, and the Glorious Mysteries. Each Mystery is made up of five decades and each decade begins with the Lord's Prayer once followed by the Hail Mary ten times on each of the beads, then a Glory Be and the Fatima Prayer.

Come and stand before the Lord. With a humble heart, make the Sign of the Cross. As you now pray the Creed, renew your faith and trust in God.Continue by praying one Our Father, three Hail Marys, a Glory Be and the Fatima Prayer for the intention on the Holy Father the Pope. Now start with the first decade of the Mystery by praying one Our Father, ten Hail Marys, a Glory Be and the Fatima Prayer as shown. After the last decade, pray the Hail Holy Queen, pray the Litany of Our Lady and consecrate yourself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Faith and belief comprise a very important part of our lives. A person's beliefs in many ways define who they are -- how they see themselves, what they want out of life, and more.

On this web site I'll offer a personal account of my own beliefs. I'll describe how my beliefs have changed my life in profound and exciting ways, and how I think they might change the lives of others.

I'll also be sure to provide links to my favorite sites as well as information about organizations that help strengthen or support my beliefs.

Thanks for visiting, and be sure to get in touch and let me know what you think!
